- Coach K
- Coach K has been handicapping the major sports for over 11 years and is coming off a stellar football season where he hit over 57% of his plays for a whopping +117 units; playing an average of 2 units per wager. That's $117,000 for you dime players! Growing up in small town Iowa and being a 4 sport athlete he took his game to the college level. Due to injury, things didn't work out in the athletic realm so he turned to coaching, hence the name Coach K. It was during his first year of coaching that he was introduced to the "point spread". Knowing very little about the lines, how they were made, the reasoning behind the lines etc. Coach K placed his first wager on the Iowa/Iowa St game in 1998....a game that would forever change his life in more than one way, for it was at a future Iowa/Iowa St game that he met the other love of his life ;) The line was Iowa -28 and although the Hawks had dismantled the Clones the previous year something was different about this year and Coach K knew it. He just knew 4 TD's was way too many and was willing to put his money where his mouth was. Needless to say the Clones ended up winning outright 27-9 and a legend was born!
